BANGABANDHU SHEIKH MUJIB MEDICAL UNIVERSITY ( BSMMU)

History :
The university was established in December 1965, as a Government-controlled postgraduate institute named Institute of Postgraduate Medicine and Research (IPGMR) (popularly called PG Hospital), by Government of Pakistan in what was then East Pakistan (before the independence of Bangladesh).

The administrative office remains open from 8.00 AM to 2.30 PM
on all weekdays except Fridays and holidays.
